The National Digital Library comprises the digital collections created by the digitization of documents in the special collections of the National Library of Romania, organized by themes or by events. It currently includes the following collections:
- The historical archive, which totals 2,388 resources, comprises the Historical Documents Fund of the XVth - XIXth century, the Kogalniceanu Fund, the Saint Georges Fund, the Bratianu Fund, the 20th Century Fund, the Flyers Fund;
- 264 documents from the collections of the Batthyaneum Branch, comprising manuscripts and incunabula;
- 149 incunabula;
- 617 old Romanian periodicals;
- 694 resources of old and bibliophile Romanian book;
- 2.331 Romanian and European photographs, Romanian illustrated postcards, illustrated postcards from Bassarabia and Bucovina, photo albums etc .;
- 543 manuscripts, including Arabic and Greek manuscripts, as well as documents from the collections of the Batthyaneum Library;
- 1.077 resources of old foreign book;
- 72 old maps;
- 772 sheet music;
- 94 exlibris, 107 Japanese stamps, 32 Romanian drawings, 21 engravings, 5 art albums, 9 reference materials;
- 636 civil documents: correspondence, time media articles, but also military documents: reports, crochets with the situations of the military units on the battlefield, at different chronological moments; brochures, informative notes, confidential notes, etc., presented in Romania's World War I collection;
- 829 resources presented in Virtual Exhibitions about: Al. I. Cuza, First Romanian Astronomical Expedition, Total Eclipse of the Sun from 1893, Romanian Army Campaigns, Dragomir Hurmuzescu, Romanian Women Personalities, etc.
